Points on <Rising
China> from western main stream
There are different opinions from western main stream on whether China
can rise or not in twenty-one century, but all of them are on a basis
of economic angle. For example, William Rees-Mogg who is the general editor
of Britain Times, points out that China will be rising in twenty-one
century because the trend of Chinese economic development is irresistible.
Wolfe (Martin Wolf) who is the chief economical commentator of Britain
Financial Times also economically favors China’s rising. In his opinion,
the most powerful several big economies in the world are always that several
countries in the past 100 years. America always takes up the first place;
Japan has rised her place; England has dropped her place; but Russia always
doesn’t play an important role in the economical parts. <China’s rising
will change this pattern.>
On the contrary, doctor Richard Florida from American George Mason University
recently has published a topic for [China: A country, Two economies](Do
not get impaled on the spikes of China’s Success). He thinks that Chinese
economy remarkable growth is only from a small part of area. If fact,
China has two economies: International metropolis with creation and rapid
development situates in the eastern coastal regions. But in the wide countryside, there
are more than seven hundred and fifty million people are working hard
in the conditions of pre-industry times. This unbalance restricts China’s
complete rising.—(adopted from Mingpao)
